Men's Basketball Falls to Felician

FROSTBURG, Md.- The Frostburg State men's basketball team went up against Felician at home on Saturday afternoon, where the Bobcats lost 81-70.

In the first half, both teams went back-and-forth trading shot attempts with no makes until graduate Canaan Bartley had a nice jumper to get the game started. After a scoring run from Felician, graduate Jihar Williams then would make two good threes to keep the FSU within reach at the 13-minute mark. Junior Micheal Tate Jr. caught fire towards the end of the half, getting the Bobcats' next four buckets, as Frostburg would end the first half in the lead, 41-36.

In the second half, the Golden Falcons would climb their way back to take a 58-51 lead with 12 minutes remaining. FSU got back within two on a Bartley jumper at 61-59, but the closest the Bobcats would get late in the game was five points as the Golden Falcon offense pushed the lead, eventually coming away with the victory by a score of 81-70.

Tate Jr. led Frostburg in scoring with 18 points, while Bartley finished with 10 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds.

FSU falls to 1-5 on the season while Felician rises to 2-2. The Bobcats next face Mansfield at home on Monday, November 29 at 7 PM. For more information and updates, visit www.frostburgsports.com
