Frostburg Swimming Tops Elizabethtown

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Frostburg State swim teams defeated Elizabethtown on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats took first place in 23 of 25 total events. 
 
In total the women's team took home ten first place finishes. They included the 200 Medley Relay, 1000 Free, 200 Free, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, 500 Free, 200 IM and the 400 Free Relay. Scoring 171 points overall on the day. The Bobcats had nine different swimmers take first place as an individual or on a relay. Freshman Kendall Hooper led FSU with four overall. 
 
 
On the men's side they were able to put together 13 top finishes. The good day for the Bobcats was made up of first in the 200 Medley Relay,1000 Free, 200 Free, 100 Backstroke, 100 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Backstroke, 500 Free, 100 Butterfly, 200 IM and the 400 Free Relay. The total for Frostburg's men on the day was 178 points. Eight male swimmers made up the 13 first place finishes. The Bobcats had two swimmers to collect four first place finishes in sophomores Noah Loper and Jackson Miller. 
 
Both teams will be in the pool again November 5th when they travel to Alderson Broaddus for a 5 PM meet. For more information, please visit frostburgsports.com
