Bobcats Take Care of Senators at Home

FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team had a convincing win over Davis & Elkins late Sunday afternoon. The Bobcats took down the Senators by a score of 3-0.

Frostburg got things started very early with a goal eight minutes into the match when sophomore Catherine Smith found senior Alexis Pate for the goal. Pate hit a long ball over the keeper who was off her line to put FSU up 1-0. The Bobcats found their second goal of the night when freshman Carolyn DeSena slid a shot past the keeper. DeSena's goal was assisted by sophomore Lela Clark. Frostburg was able to find the net once more in the first half when DeSena scored again off senior Audra Curtin's shot that fell to her feet.

The second half saw some nice defensive play for the Bobcats. Smith was able to clear a ball off the line in the Senators best scoring opportunity at the time. Later in the half freshman Katie Sterne made a great save on a penalty shot to keep the clean sheet.

The win pushes the Bobcats record to 6-2-1 on the year.
