Elkins, W. Va. – The Frostburg State volleyball team lost to Davis & Elkins Tuesday evening on the road. The final score of the match was 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-16).
 
The Bobcats started the first set off with an early lead off attack errors from the Senators and two kills from sophomore Beverly Braun. Frostburg kept things close until midway through the set when D&E was able to jump up by six points. The Senators would take the first set scoring seven of the last ten points.
 
The second set started off with the Senators carrying over momentum from the first set to an early 9-3 lead. The Bobcats fought their way back into the set with back-to-back kills form sophomore Laken Michael to make the score 12-8.  FSU had another great run, taking eight of nine possible points and evening the score at 18-18. Unfortunately, they were unable to continue the hot streak as the Bobcats eventually fell 25-20.
 
The third set started on a high note for Frostburg with a service ace from junior Jackie Sterenberg. D&E then went on a nine-point run that was finally broken by a kill from freshman AJ Thompson. The Bobcats would again battle back into the set, pulling within four points of the Senators. The Senators went on another run to widen the gap before finishing off the match with a 25-16 win in the third.
 
Braun led the Bobcats with ten kills and eight digs, with sophomore Hayley Delor having 17 assists.
