ELKINS, W. Va. – The Frostburg State men's and women's swim team both fell short during their first MEC meet of the year at Davis and Elkins, with the women's team losing 158-100 and the men's falling 171-87.

The women's team managed to score four first places finishes, while the men's team was able land three first place wins.

Three first-years, Francesca Crevoiserat, Riley Petrick, Liz Perry and junior Aubree Morris snagged a first place in in the 200-yard free relay with a time of 1:49.10. Morris also captured a first-place finish in the 100-yard fly with a time of 1:06.07.

First-year Summer Mastandrea captured one of the first-place finishes for the Bobcats during the 1000-yard free (11:58.67), as well as a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM (2:32.56). Cali Kobasair landed a first-place finish for FSU in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.73) and a second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:46.79)

On the men's side of the meet, first year Jackson Miller, sophomore Quincy Page, and seniors Anthony Giuseppetti and Brady Peterson landed a second-place finish in the 200-yard free relay (1:33.92). Giuseppetti and Brady, as well as two first-years, Noah Loper and PJ Emrich, finished second place in the 200-yard medley relay (1:44.01).

Sophomore Myles Henderson landed one first place win for the men's team in the 1000-yard free with a time of 11:28.50. Henderson also scored a second-place finish in the 500-yard free (5:40.71). Loper captured the other two first-place finishes for the Bobcats: one in the 500-yard free (5:02.00) and another in the 200-yard IM (2:02.38). Loper also landed a second place finish in the 100-yard breast stroke with a time of 1:04.68.

Both the men's and women's swim team will be back in action on February 20
th for an away MEC meet against the Fairmont Falcons. Meet time is set to begin at 1:00pm. For more information go to
