MCHENRY, Md. - The Frostburg State men's basketball team fell to the West Virginia State Yellow Jackets, 82-72, Saturday night. The loss takes Frostburg to 7-13 overall (4-10 MEC) while West Virginia State moves to 14-5 overall (9-5 MEC).

The Bobcats were led by senior Daniel Alexander with 21 points, six rebounds, and two steals. Junior Joe Adedayo was right behind Alexander as he tallied 14 points and four steals. Frostburg shot 39.7% from the floor and 85.7% from the line. Sophomore Torrin Stephens led the way at the line as he was five-of-five for free throws and tallied eight rebounds.

The Yellow Jackets were led by Jeremiah Moore who scored 24 points and Michal Seals who had 14 points.

FSU tied the game 15-15 off a layup from Alexander. Three minutes later a jumper from sophomore Maurice Carroll Jr. tied the game at 17-17.

The Bobcats jumped out to a three point advantage with 6 minutes to play in the half off a free throw from senior Demetrich Williams. The Yellow Jackets took an 11 point lead into halftime after a successful layup by Jeremiah Moore. Â

Late in the second half, Frostburg went on a sixteen point run to close the scoring gap down to six points 72-66 with 1:58 to play. It wouldn't for the Bobcats as the Yellow Jackets would close out the game 82-72.

The Bobcats return to action on Thursday when they host Concord for a 7:30 pm tip-off.
