URBANA, Ohio – Frostburg's four-game winning streak came to a disappointing end Saturday in Urbana when the Bobcats fell to the Blue Knights 72-55.
FSU was held to its lowest scoring output of the season despite another strong defensive performance.
Both teams traded defensive jabs in the first half, but Urbana's 47 percent shooting and a 12-0 scoring spurt to end the half helped the blue Knights take a 19-point advantage to the locker room.
Frostburg was held to a season-low 18 first-half points and 20 percent shooting from the floor. The shooting improved in the second half, but the Bobcats could not catch up with the Blue Knights after the large halftime deficit.
FSU was out-rebounded 51-45 despite having a 22-16 edge in offensive rebounds. The Bobcats were also held to a season-low 20 points in the paint as compared to Urbana's 40.
Junior transfer Joe Adedayo's encore performance included a 27-point game on 5-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc. Senior Daniel Alexander notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, while adding three steals and a pair of blocks. Sophomore Jamil Jones dished out six assists.
The Bobcats go back on the road on Wednesday with a matchup against Wheeling University. Tip-off is slated for 7:30. For more information, visit
