The Sea Gulls opened the game on a 15-0 run, thanks in part to five points from junior Lucas Martin. With Salisbury leading, 33-17 with 5:51 left in the first half, the Bobcats fought back with a 10-2 run of their own, with eight points coming from Pettis, to cut the deficit to eight.

With 3:08 remaining in the game, an Alexander three-pointer brought the Bobcats to within two points, but the Sea Gulls managed to keep the lead and end the game on top, 90-83.
