INSTITUTE, W.Va. - Three players scored in double figures and Frostburg scored a season-high in points despite suffering a 94-87 loss at West Virginia State, Wednesday.Â

The Bobcats (1-7, 1-2 MEC) have increased their scoring output in each of the last four games and entered Wednesday's game at 10th in the league in points per game (65.0). Frostburg's 87 points are nine points above its previous season high of 78 that it scored on Sunday in an OT loss at Seton Hill.Â

FSU led just twice in the early going before eventually losing to the Yellow Jackets (2-4, 1-2 MEC), who lead the league in scoring at 93.7 ppg.Â

Sophomore Morgan Dombroski powered the Bobcats in scoring for the third time this season. She poured in 24 points with three three-pointers and seven free throws. She also added six rebounds, two steals and two assists.Â

Graduate student Victoria Diggs shook off a scoreless first half with 19 points over the final 20 minutes of play. She connected on four three-pointers and was 6-of-12 from the field. Senior Amanda Emory registered a double-double with an even 12 points and 12 boards. Junior Jada Holland just missed another double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.Â

Chloe Cheresne posted 24 points and 10 rebounds for W.Va. State in the win. It was the first league win for the Jackets and capped a two-game losing skid.Â

Destiny Fields added 12 points and Charity Shears finished with 11.Â

Sierra Womack hit a three-pointer just under three minutes into the second quarter as the high-scoring Jackets led by 17, 39-22. Frostburg was able to cut its lead to single digits at halftime and continued the surge in the second as first-year Kaitlyn Rogers hit a three at 8:41 as FSU trailed by just six, 53-47.Â

Rogers hit a layup as the Bobcats pulled to within four, 62-58 just before the midway point of the third quarter, but State pushed its lead back to double digits at the end of the third. Â

FSU didn't back down in the fourth as it cut its lead to three on a Dombroski layup at 5:32 as the Bobcats trailed just 79-76. Diggs hit a jumper at 4:56 and then knocked down a three at 4:15 at Frostburg trailed by just one, 82-81.Â

That was as close as Frostburg would get as State pushed its lead back to seven at the final horn.Â
