Men’s Soccer Falls to D&E

ELKINS, W. Va.- On Saturday night the Frostburg State University men's soccer team fell to Davis & Elkins by a late score of 1-0. This loss puts the Bobcats at 3-5-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference play while the Senators move to 3-4 overall and 2-4 in league play.
 
The first half went scoreless from both sides while the Senators outshot the Bobcats 11-2. The Bobcats were able to take their two shots at 4:16 by first-year Addison Keja that missed high and again at 35:54 from first-year Gage Adam missing left.
 
The lone goal of the game came late as the Senators found the back of the net at the 86th minute off a cross from the right side of the box giving D&E the 1-0 win on the night. Frostburg took two more shots in the second stanza, again from Keja missing left and one from sophomore Cameron Coates that was blocked by Senators goalkeeper Everton Carvalho.
 
Sophomore goalkeeper Joel Assal saw a full 90 minutes of action while he posted 6 saves after facing 15 shots.
