WHEELING, W.Va. - Junior Braxton Clark finished in the top 20 to capture Mountain East Conference honors and the Frostburg men's cross country team finished in fifth place at the league championship meet, Saturday at Wheeling's Oglebay Park. 
 

FSU, in its first year in the MEC, registered 152 points and finished just 56 points behind fourth-place West Liberty. Charleston won the league title with 20 points behind the top three individual finishers. Davis & Elkins was second and Concord took third place. 
 

Clark completed the 8k course 28:04.54 and finished in 20th place. The top 20 effort lands him on the All-MEC Second Team and he finished as Frostburg's top runner in all six meets this season. 
 

Senior Jacob Rickards was the second Frostburg runner to cross the finish line. He took 28th place in 29:05.97. He has been FSU's second runner in the last four meets and five times through the 2019 season. 
 

First-year Daniel Foster was 33rd in 29:51.55, senior Timothy Wolodkin took home 37th place in 30:20.16, while senior Lorenzo Wilson rounded out the top five finishes when he captured 39th place in 30:39.39. 
 

Junior Devin Horseman-Guy finished in 45th place in 31:34.33 and sophomore Brennen Tomassoni finished in 51st position at 33:12.83.
 

Isabel Pereira led the way for the Bobcat women as she took 55th place in the 32:58.5. It's the second-straight meet in which Pereira has been the top finisher for the Bobcats. 

Ariyana Ward was the second Bobcat finisher as she took 61st place in 35:30.0.
