Women Garner 11th-Consecutive Ethics Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team has recently captured its 11th-consecutive United Soccer Coaches College Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award.

The United Soccer Coaches recognized a total of 167 schools across the country for exhibiting fair play, sporting behavior and an adherence to the laws of the game. Under the direction of head coach Brian Parker, Frostburg was one of just 19 schools in the nation to earn the Gold Ethics and Sportsmanship Award.

The gold-level award (1-10%) that teams are receiving is based on a percentage calculated by the total number of cards received by players/coaches divided by the team's total number of games played. The Bobcats received just one yellow card in 17 games this past fall.

The Bobcats capped the 2018 season with a 5-11-1 overall record and a 3-3-1 mark in Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play. Frostburg collected two shutouts late in the season to earn the fourth-seed in the CAC Tournament.
