Bobcats Take Down Washington & Jefferson 1-0
WASHINGTON, Pa. - The Frostburg State women's soccer team scored a single goal to propel the Bobcats to a win over Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday night, 1-0.
The Bobcats outshot the Presidents 14-7 with half of their shots being on goal. The team was awarded four corners during the contest while holding the Presidents to only one.
The sole Bobcat goal came from junior Jesse Dunagan, finishing off her own rebound in the box for her first goal of the year. Dunagan also led the team in shots on goal for the night totaling three.
Junior Brook Shehade totaled two shots on goal with seniors Kelly Richards and Danielle Ferris each having one.
Senior goalkeeper Rhianna Lapen collected a shutout after playing a full 90 minutes and registering three saves.
The women's soccer team returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Rutgers University- Newark with a start time of 1 pm.
