LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bobcats dropped their first road game against the Lynchburg Hornets, 7-0, Monday afternoon.

The Hornets scored their first four goals in the first half of play and three in the second half.

Junior goalkeeper Sierra Smizer made six saves on the day while first-year goalkeeper Maggie Haupt made her first collegiate appearance at 53:36, and finishing the contest. Â She registered four saves.

First-year Taylor Hackett and sophomore Gabby Rachuba led the team in shots on goal, with Hackett registering one and Rachuba with two.

First-year Emy Nelson claimed a defensive save making a total of three in her first two collegiate games.

The Bobcats are back in action on Thursday September 6 at McDaniel College with a start time of 6 pm.
