FROSTBURG, Md. - On Wednesday night, Frostburg women's soccer fell to the Bridgewater Eagles 2-0 in a closely contested match. The Bobcats are now 1-5 while the Eagles move to 6-1.
The first goal came at 8:47 by Bridgewater senior Bailey Kratz. The goal by Kratz was the only goal of the first period.
Bridgewater freshman Hanna Randolph kicked off the second period scoring the second goal of the match at 50:47.
Bobcat seniors Hailey Turney and Danielle Ferris led the team each with two shots for the night. Senior Brooke Shehade and first-year Mackenzie Folch both had one shot.
Senior goalkeeper for the Bobcats Rhianna Lapen played a full 90 minutes with a season high of seven saves.
The Bobcats are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Chatham University for a 1:00 pm start.
