FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's basketball team clinched the sixth seed in the upcoming 2018 Capital Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament and is set to face third-seeded York (Pa.) on the road this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Bobcats clinched their spot in the CAC Tournament last Wednesday following an eight-point road win (71-63) over Southern Virginia. It marks the second-straight season that Frostburg (12-13, 8-10) has earned a berth in the conference tournament.
 
The Bobcats outlasted Wesley for a 77-71 Senior Day victory to cap the regular season on February 17.
 
Sophomore guard Victoria Diggs leads the conference in scoring (15.1 PPG) and three-point percentage (40.7%). Sophomore forward Sydney Stotler is third in the conference in blocks (31) while averaging 8.7 points/game.
 
Meanwhile, the Spartans enter the conference tournament at 17-8 overall and 13-5 in the league. York ended the regular season with back-to-back victories over St. Mary's (Md.) and Christopher Newport.
 
Offensively, York is led by Katie McGowan (13.4 PPG, 7.2 RPG) and Katie Wagner (12.7 PPG, 4.6 RPG) and the team ranks second in the conference in scoring (71.7).
 
York swept Frostburg in the regular season with victories on December 6 (61-56) and January 24 (79-66).
