FROSTBURG, Md. – Katie Alexander totaled three goals to power Juniata to a 6-0 shutout of Frostburg, Wednesday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.

The Eagles scored three goals in each half as they improved to 6-3. Frostburg (3-6) attempted six shots in the game and senior keeper Nicole Leighty made seven saves while playing just the first half.
Sophomore Sierra Smizer played the second half in net for the Bobcats and she stopped five shots.
Frostburg freshman Gabby Rachuba led the team with three saves, while senior Savannah Neubert registered her second defensive save of the season after knocking a Megan Martin shot in the 55
th minute off the goal line.
After Juniata took a 2-0 lead, Frostburg had four chances to find the net in the first half. Rachuba had her first shot of the afternoon saved by Kylie Edwards at 23:16. Rachuba also had shots at 27:04 and 27:30 saved by Edwards.
The sister duo of Katie Alexander and Grace Alexander scored the first two goals for Juniata inside the first 15 minutes of the opening half.
Martin scored in the 29
th minute for the 3-0 halftime cushion.
Alexander added two more in the second half at 36:16 and 68:16, while Rebecca Waite scored in the 38
th minute for the 6-0 final.
Frostburg returns to action this Saturday when it jumps into CAC action when it hosts St. Mary's at 1:00 pm.
