FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss to a talented No.3 Lycoming squad on Wednesday night.  Lycoming is ranked #3 in the D3soccer.com poll and ranked #4 in the United Soccer Coaches poll.

The Bobcats were able to generate eight shots but, only two on goal. Lycoming mustered a total of 14 shots.

In the early minutes of the game, freshman goalkeeper Juan Bofill had a diving save from a header attempt by the Warrior's Kyle Thomas. Bofill had an impressive save at the 28:07 mark when Lycoming's Alex Henery received a cross and shot from point blank range but was denied.

Bofill finished the match with six saves.

The Bobcats first opportunity at a goal came at the 13:35 mark with a shot by freshman Andrew Lakanu that was deflected off a defender and nearly missed the post.

Sophomore Matt Morris forced the Warrior's keeper Chris Solecki off the line with a left-footed attempt from 25 yards out at 35:46.

Lycoming's first goal came at 42:09 when Lance Kingler threw in a pass that bounced to Keenthy Yeboah at point blank range to get it past Bofill.

In the second half, the Bobcats had an early attempt at goal (46:29) by junior Haven Mackie who found an opening but missed wide left.

The Warriors tacked on their second and final goal of the night at the 51:13 mark after a corner kick led to a header by Kyle Stettenbauer.

The last attempt for the Bobcats came at 89:26 with sophomore K.J. Davis getting an open look at goal but was saved by Solecki.

Men's soccer will be back in action Saturday the 23^rd as they travel to Wesley. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m.
