WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored a pair of first-half goals en route to a 2-0 shutout of Frostburg State in non-league women's soccer action, Wednesday.
Frostburg falls to 1-4 overall, while McDaniel pushes its record to 4-1 with its fourth-consecutive win.
Katie Kirschenmann scored in the seventh minute for a 1-0 cushion, while Annalise Bell found the net at 42:50 for the 2-0 lead.
The Green Terror held a 15-9 edge in shots, including a 12-6 lead during the decisive first half.
Sophomore Gwenn Schemm placed three shots on goal for Frostburg, while junior Hailey Turney had two.
Following McDaniel's first score, senior Alyssa Malanik had a shot saved by keeper Sarah McDonald at 14:47
Schemm opened second-half action with a shot that needed saved by McDonald. Schemm later attempted a shot in the closing seconds that was knocked away by McDonald.
Freshman Jenny Bullers stopped two shots for the Bobcats in 90 minutes of action, while Green Terror keeper McDonald finished with three saves.
The Bobcats return to action this Saturday when they host Stevenson at Bobcat Stadium at 3:00 pm.
