FROSTBURG, Md. – Stevenson found the net twice in the first half and carried those two goals to a 2-0 win over host Frostburg State, Saturday afternoon.

Stevenson (4-2) received goals from Allison Arters at 34:21 and just over four minutes later, Lauren Spivey found the net as the Mustangs (4-2) held a 2-0 edge at halftime.
Stevenson outshot Frostburg 7-4 in the opening half and held a 5-3 lead in shots in the second period.
The Bobcats (1-5) came out firing as Gwen Schemm and Danielle Ferris both had shots saved by Mustang keeper Tiffany McKee at 17:13 and 21:13, respectively.
In the second period, sophomore Brooke Shehade had a left footed shot denied by McKee just under 10 minutes into action.
In the 68
th minute, Shehade hit a high arching shot towards the top left corner of the net that forced McKee to back pedal and make a diving save as the Bobcats tried again to cut into their deficit.
Frostburg's final shot of the game came off the foot of Schemm at 75:15 that sailed wide of the net.
At the other end of the field, Bobcat starting keeper Jenny Bullers notched three saves in the loss. She stopped a shot off the foot of Emily Lord just before intermission and she made a diving save to her left on a left footed attempt in the 78
th minute from Gabrielle Arters.
Schemm paced the Bobcats with three shots, while Shehade posted two attempts on goal.
Frostburg returns to action on Tuesday when it hosts Catholic at 7:00 pm.
