Frostburg, Md. – The Frostburg State baseball team swept St. Mary's (Md.) in a rescheduled Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) doubleheader Monday afternoon at Bob Wells Field.

The game was moved from Saturday due to inclement weather and today's make-up date served as a near perfect day with temperatures in the mid-70s.
With the sweep, Frostburg settles at 16-12 overall and 8-7 in the CAC. St. Mary's (Md.) falls to 8-18 overall and 2-13 in conference.
Game One
Frostburg came out victorious in game one, 12-2. Junior starter Greg Schneider had things rolling in the opener as he fanned eight and allowed just one earned run. He scattered seven hits in 8.0 innings of work and struckout at least one batter in every inning but the sixth.
The Bobcats pounced on the Seahawks early with four runs in the bottom of the first. Frostburg loaded the bases quickly and junior Logan Corrigan drove home senior JT Tipton for the first run. Senior Brad Garrant doubled home two more, junior Kyle Burger and junior Matt Bougourd, before junior Colton Sivic doubled home Garrant for the 4-0 lead.
Bougourd led off the third inning with a towering home run that caromed off the left field foul pole for a 5-0 score. It was Bougourd's fourth home run of the season.
St. Mary's (Md.) rebounded with solo runs in both the sixth and seventh. Brandon Snow singled home a run in the sixth and Lucas Kraft crossed home on a passed ball.
In the bottom of the sixth, Sivic and senior Cody Harman both walked to lead off the inning and Tipton plated both of them with a double down the left field line for a 7-0 cushion. Following Tipton, Burger was hit by a pitch and Bougourd doubled both he and Tipton home for two more runs in the home half of the sixth.
Frostburg's final runs came in the seventh when Harman singled home Sivic, Tipton hit a curving double to left that plated Harman and Burger laced a triple to right field that scored Tipton.
Game Two
Frostburg rallied from a 4-1 deficit in a 13-5 victory over St. Mary's (Md.) in game two.
Senior Ryan Callahan (1-2) earned his first win of the season with 4.0 innings of relief. He allowed one earned run on just one hit with three strikeouts.
In the first, Garrant smacked a single down the right field line to tie the game at one.
The Bobcats used an eight-run outburst between the third and fourth innings to take a 9-4 lead. Harman led off the third inning with a home run to left, his first of the season, cutting the deficit to 4-2. Later on in the inning, Garrant drove home Tipton with a double to left center, making the score 4-3 in favor of the Seahawks.
Harman tied the game at four with an RBI-single through the right side. Burger gave the Bobcats a 5-4 lead with a single that plated Harman.
Following a St. Mary's (Md.) pitching change, Frostburg plated four more runs in the inning to take a 9-4 lead.
After each team added a run, Frostburg tacked on the final three runs of the afternoon in the seventh. Bougourd smacked a two-RBI to left center to give the Bobcats a 12-5 lead. Garrant plated the Bobcats final run with a single for a 13-5 edge.
Junior Tyler Hoffman pitched 2.0 innings of relief while junior Mike Takovich pitched the ninth inning.
