BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Frostburg State women's lacrosse team fell on the road to Bridgewater College Saturday afternoon by the score of 18-7.

The Bobcats (2-3) scored two of the contest's first three goals as senior Emani Bryd fired home her fifth of the season off a pass from senior Megan Hart to open the scoring at the 18:57 mark in the first half. After an answering goal from Bridgewater (3-0), freshman Molly Biggers would give FSU the lead back with her fifth goal of the year, by rifling a shot past the Eagles goalie Kristen Stark off an assist from freshman Nikki Hallikas to make it 2-1.

After two Bridgewater goals, Hallikas notched her 11^th goal of the season to tie the game back up at three.

After three unanswered Eagle goals, sophomore Morgan Cavey would get the Bobcats on the board one more time in the first half as she snapped her first of the afternoon home on a pass from senior Haley Hines to cut the deficit to three.

Bridgewater would score one more in the first half to give them 8-4 lead heading into the midway break.

Cavey mustered two more goals in the second half to give her 15 on the season and Megan Hart found the back of the net at the 23:04 mark on a free position shot for her seventh of the campaign.

However, the Eagles were too much to handle and would take the victory, 18-7, behind five Annie Sullivan goals.

FSU bested Bridgewater in both draw controls (16-10) and shots (42-30) on the afternoon.

The Bobcats will next be in action on Tuesday, March 7 when they travel to Shenandoah. Game time is slated for 6 pm.
