FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's field hockey team fell to Dickinson, 6-0, in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.
The Bobcats drop to 5-4 with the loss, while Dickinson improves to 6-2.
Sophomore Erin Barker nearly broke the scoreless tie in the 6
th minute, but missed the cage wide to the left.
Dickinson responded with the opening goal from Catherine Perlmutter in the 22
nd minute.
Frostburg trailed by just one at the intermission, but the Red Devils scored five times in the second half of play. Perlmutter scored her second goal in the 45
th minute as part of the Red Devils second half scoring spree.
Dickinson held a 19-2 advantage in shots over Frostburg and a 10-2 edge in penalty corners.
Senior goalie Jacqueline Gover made seven saves in 70:00 minutes of action.
Frostburg will hit the road and return to Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play against St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11:00 a.m.
