FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State women's field hockey team fell to Dickinson, 6-0, in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at Bobcat Stadium.
 
The Bobcats drop to 5-4 with the loss, while Dickinson improves to 6-2.
 
Sophomore Erin Barker nearly broke the scoreless tie in the 6^th minute, but missed the cage wide to the left.
 
Dickinson responded with the opening goal from Catherine Perlmutter in the 22^nd minute.
 
Frostburg trailed by just one at the intermission, but the Red Devils scored five times in the second half of play. Perlmutter scored her second goal in the 45^th minute as part of the Red Devils second half scoring spree.
 
Dickinson held a 19-2 advantage in shots over Frostburg and a 10-2 edge in penalty corners.
 
Senior goalie Jacqueline Gover made seven saves in 70:00 minutes of action.
 
Frostburg will hit the road and return to Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) play against St. Mary's (Md.) on Saturday, Oct. 1 at 11:00 a.m.
