SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Frostburg State University men's cross country team opened its 2015 campaign tonight at the Galen Piper XC Challenge in Shippensburg, Pa.
Meet ResultsThe Galen Piper XC challenge featured 10 schools from around the region, including 121 runners.
Overall, 10 men represented the event for the Bobcats. The men finished in eighth out of 10 teams at the challenge with 249 points.
Sophomore Brad Baker took the Bobcat's top spot, finishing with a time of 21:09 for 53
rd place. He was followed by junior Xavier Alvarez who came in at the 88
th spot with a time of 22:18 and right behind him for 89
th place, was senior Gregory Horning who finished in 22:19.
Finishing in the 99
th spot was senior Jeremy Brown with a time of 22:52, following him were two seniors, Adam Jenkins and Ryan Hipps who finished with times of 23:11 coming in at 101
st. Rounding out the runners was junior Ben Allston who finished right behind his teammates in 23:12.
The Bobcats return to action tomorrow morning when they will compete in the Westmoreland CCC Invitational at 10 am.
