WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Frostburg State women's soccer team fell at McDaniel, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon.
Despite outshooting the Green Terror (8-0), 15-14, the Bobcats (4-5) allowed a goal in each half as they dropped their third straight contest, and second straight to an unbeaten opponent.
Fourteen minutes into the contest, McDaniel's Nicole Hill found Kristen Upton on a corner kick to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Then, at the 65:53 mark, Hill dished a pass to Abby Keen for the insurance tally.
Senior midfielder Erin Worthman led FSU with two shots on goal, while junior forwards Leah Yurko and Jessi Martz, sophomore midfielder Melanie Bell, and senior midfielder Brooke Longo each tallied one shot on goal.
Time between the pipes was split between senior Paige Gray and freshman Rhianna Lapen, as the two combined for five saves on the day.
The Bobcats open the conference portion of their schedule Saturday, September 26 when they travel to Christopher Newport for a 4:30 pm contest.
