FREDERICK, Md. – Frostburg State scored six goals in the first half, three from senior Alexandra Darrow, and the Bobcats collected a 7-0 victory over Hood, Wednesday.
The win marks the fourth-straight for FSU and pushes its record to 4-2 overall. The Bobcats have also increased their goals scored in each of the wins during the streak.
Darrow's hat trick is her second this season and the third of her career. She added an assist on the game's first tally when junior Taylor Bowen scored at 5:15 for a 1-0 lead.
Darrow, the reigning CAC Offensive Player of the Week, found the net for Frostburg's next two goals at 6:29 and again at 11:34. Her second goal came off a pass from Bowen.
After over 14 minutes of scoreless action, the freshmen tandem of Holly Van Wie and Ashleigh Myers made it a 4-0 ballgame for the Bobcats. Myers found Van Wie for her first collegiate goal at 25:47.

st minute to complete her hat trick and Myers rounded out the first half scoring with a goal off a rebounded shot from junior Naja Butler.
Frostburg scored six times in the opening half on 15 shots, while the Bobcats limited the Blazers (0-4) to just one shot attempt.
In the second half, junior Jacquelyn Nava got in on the scoring in the 61
st minute when she scored on a rebounded shot from freshman Lindsay Gardiner.
In total, the Bobcats finished with a season-high 31 shots for their second shutout of the season. Keepers Jackie Gover and Nicole Leighty each played a half, while Leighty registered the only save. Hood's Hailey Poisal notched 16 saves in the loss.
