Bobcats Fall To Seahawks, 61-52

FROSTBURG, Md. – Despite outscoring St. Mary's (Md.) in the second half, the Frostburg State women's basketball team dropped a close 61-52 contest against the Seahawks Wednesday night at Bobcat Arena.

Courtney Young got the Bobcats on the board 1:30 into the game with a jumper, but that would be the only lead seen in the game for Frostburg State. The Bobcats chipped away at a six-point Seahawk lead and eventually tied the game at 14 with 7:52 remaining before the intermission.

The Seahawks' 28-18 halftime lead broke open in the second half, but the Bobcats (1-9, 0-5 CAC) clawed their way back into the game with Jasmine Walker netting 10 of her 12 points in the final 20 minutes.

Ronje James led Frostburg State with 15 points and nine rebounds while Walker chipped in a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Kerri Kline led St. Mary's (2-8, 2-3 CAC) with 21 points and Olivia Nowlin chipped in 16.
