ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Frostburg State volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches at the Lebanon Valley Tournament, Saturday afternoon. Lebanon Valley defeated the Bobcats 3-0 in the first match before FSU fell to Neumann, 3-2, to finish out the day.

Lebanon Valley took the first match by set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-16. Freshman Naya Cheatem led the attack for Frostburg State with six kills on the day while junior Aimee Petrides and senior Morgan Hoover each finished the match with three kills. Freshman Madelyn Torres handed out 18 assists in the match while freshman Lindsey Scepura led the defense with 15 digs.
Frostburg fell to Neumann in five sets to close out the day by scores of 25-20, 25-21, 17-25, 25-27, 10-15.
Once again, the Bobcats' offense was led by Cheatem, who had 12 kills in the match while Petrides and freshman Amanda Snowden were close behind with 11 kills each. Scepura led the defense with a career-high 27 digs in the match while Torres handed out 39 assists in the five sets.
Frostburg returns to action when the Bobcats host Marymount in a Capital Athletic Conference contest at 7:00 pm.
