FROSTBURG, Md. - Two-straight! The foursome of juniors Kaitlyn Donch, Jaclyn Franzak and Meredith Johnson along with sophomore Maci Quintanilla set a school record at the CAC Swimming Championships and earned the No. 6 spot in Top 10 Most Exciting Moments of the 2013-14 athletic year.
The foursome first set the school mark at 1:57.12 at the CAC Championships during the 2012-13 season. That previous record was set at 1:57.73 in 1994.
Well, the group didn't wait nearly as long to set the record again needing just one year and six days.
On the second day of the CAC Championships on February 22, the same foursome earned fourth place in the 200-yard medley and broke their own record, this time lowering the mark to 1:55.16.
With all four returning to the team next year, they will try and make it three-straight at the 2014-15 CAC Championships.
