FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State men's lacrosse earned a 17-10 victory over St. Mary's (Md.) in the regular-season finale for both schools and in the process the Bobcats have earned a first round home game in the upcoming 2014 CAC Tournament. Saturday's contest also marked senior day for 17 student-athletes that helped restart the varsity men's lacrosse program in 2011.

Despite a seven-goal difference in the final score, the Seahawks (7-9, 3-4) challenged FSU for much of the second and third quarters. SMCM scored three-straight goals in the second quarter to draw within one goal at halftime, 6-5.
Senior Kevin Kinney opened second half action with his first career goal. He caused a turnover at one end of the field, picked up the ground ball and raced toward the net before firing a shot past St. Mary keeper Zack Blewett.
The Seahawks' Eric Simon scored with 5:31 left in the third quarter to again draw the visitors to within one goal at 7-6.
The Bobcats answered in a big way with the final three goals of the fourth quarter for a 10-6 lead. FSU kept its foot on the gas and found the net seven times in the fourth to outpace St. Mary's.
Sophomore Spenser Love was responsible for three second-half goals and he finished with a season and team-high five goals. Junior Devin Colegrove notched one goal and two assists. Kinney, along with senior Marcus Kyriacou and sophomore Erik Geiser each scored their first goals of the season in the win.
Senior Billy Lark set the tempo for much of the afternoon by winning 22-of-25 faceoffs. He also collected a game-high eight ground balls. Senior Tyler Haines played 58 minutes in net and stopped five shots for the win.
Ben Love led the Seahawks with two goals and one assist, while Blewett made 13 saves but suffered the loss.
