LATROBE, Pa. – Junior Devin Colegrove and sophomore Spenser Love combined for nine points as the Frostburg State men's lacrosse team defeated St. Vincent 15-3, Wednesday afternoon.

Another big first quarter set the tone for the Bobcats (5-1) en route to their fifth win of the season. Frostburg jumped out to a 7-0 cushion after one stanza and led 9-1 at the half. Frostburg has outscored its six opponents this season 43-11 in the opening half of play.
Senior Billy Lark won 16-of-21 faceoffs, including all eight in the first quarter as Frostburg opened up a 7-0 lead. Sophomore Nick Stailey registered a hat trick in the first quarter, while junior Spencer Barnett found the net twice. Colegrove finished the opening half of action with one goal and two assists.
St. Vincent scored the first goal of the third quarter and added one in the fourth, but the Bobcats rattled off six goals in the second half including a four-goal run late in the third. Love found the net three times in the third frame and Colegrove finished with one goal and one assist.
Frostburg needed just 37 shots to rack up 15 goals. FSU also scooped up 42 ground balls was nearly perfect on clear attempts (14-of-15).
Colegrove capped the afternoon with two goals and three assists, while Love scored four goals. Stailey (3 goals) and Barnett (2 goals) combined for five goals, all in the first half. Lark added a team-high four ground balls. Sophomores Taylor Schmitz and Mack Schwarz led the way with three saves each in limited action in the second half.
Three different players scored for St. Vincent (0-5), while Greg Gonzalez made six saves in the cage.
Frostburg State returns to action on Saturday when it visits third-ranked Salisbury for its CAC opener at 1:00 pm.
