FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg State jumped out to a 6-0 lead after the first quarter of play and carried that momentum to an 11-4 victory over Lebanon Valley, Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats (3-0) remain perfect so far on the young season and are outscoring their opponents by nearly eight goals per game through their first three contests.
Against the Dutchmen (0-1), Frostburg scored six goals in the first frame and one in the second to comfortably lead 7-0 at intermission.
Senior Ryan Serio scored the contest's first two goals and finished the first quarter with three goals and one assist to power Frostburg offensively. Junior Devin Colegrove and sophomore Tate Rolland each added a goal and an assist.
The teams played to an even 4-4 score in the second half, but the Bobcats big first half was more than enough to carry them to victory.
Rolland and junior Chris Rios each found the net twice and accounted for all four Bobcat goals in the second half.
Serio and Rolland each finished the game with three goals and one assist, while Colegrove scored once and handed out two assists. Senior Billy Lark scooped up a game-high eight ground balls and won 12-of-16 faceoffs (75%). He was 8-of-9 in the first half to help spark Frostburg's seven goals. Senior keeper Tyler Haines needed just five saves for his third win, while dropping his goals against average to 2.49.
Malik Pedroso scored once and added one assist to power LVC. Mike Moll allowed 10 goals in 45 minutes and stopped 11 shots.
Frostburg State hosts Washington & Jefferson with Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
