FREDONIA, N.Y. – Frostburg state closed out the second day of the Blue Devil Invitational at Fredonia State with a win and a loss, Saturday.

Frostburg finished with seven blocks in the narrow loss to the Blue Devils. FSU lost the first set 25-20, despite hitting .316. Fredonia narrowly escaped with a 26-24 win in the second game and closed out the match with a 25-22 set three win.
In the second match, the Bobcats dropped the first set to the Hawks, but rebounded to win the final three for their 10
th match with of the season. Hilbert opened with a 25-21 win before Frostburg posted 25-20, 25-16 and 25-22 wins.
Junior Aimee Petrides finished with 17 kills, while freshman Naya Cheatem recorded 20 kills. The duo smacked 13 and 16 kills, respectively, against Hilbert. Freshman libero Lindsey Scepura had 35 digs, while classmate Madelyn Torres totaled 51 assists and 16 digs.
FSU returns to action on Wednesday at Mary Washington at 7:00 pm.
