FROSTBURG, Md. – York (Pa.) scored in the 25
th minute to earn a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Frostburg State in CAC action, Wednesday.
Frostburg State outshot York (Pa.), 11-8, but it was the Spartans' Laken Bull that scored the game's only goal on a loose ball in FSU's end at 24:04.
The loss drops the Bobcats to 9-4-2 overall and 3-2 in the league, while York moves to 7-3-3 and 3-1-1 in the CAC.
York keeper Melanie Glessner made seven saves, including five in the opening half, to help keep Frostburg off the scoreboard. Four different players attempted two shots for the hosts and starting keeper Katie Smith made two saves in the loss.
Frostburg travels to Wesley this Friday for a matchup at 7:00 pm.
