Frostburg State Men & Women Take Seventh at Galen Piper Invitational

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Frostburg State men's and women's cross country teams both captured seventh place at the 2013 Galen Piper Invitational at Shippensburg University, Friday night.

Bobcat freshman Casey Columbus posted the highest finish for either team as she crossed the finish line in 40th place in 16:32. Junior Bryn Allston was the second finisher on the women's team as she took 65th place at 17:28.

Senior Pat Mead led the way for the men's team as he finished 77th at 21:02, while freshman Brandon Redmond was 82nd overall with a time of 21:26.

Finishing third for the Bobcats was freshman Lexi Foreman for the women's team in 18:07 (74th place) and freshman Stanton Higham for the men at 22:06 (96th).

FSU returns to action on Saturday, September 21, at the St. Vincent College Invitational in Latrobe, Pa.
