LATROBE, Pa. – The Frostburg State volleyball team opened the 2013 season with a pair of 3-0 setbacks to Geneva and Saint Vincent, Friday.
The Bobcats (0-2) dropped their season opener to Geneva 25-12, 25-19 and 25-19. Frostburg rounded out its day with a 25-13, 25-17 and 25-11 loss to Saint Vincent.
The sophomore tandem of Aimee Petrides and Caitlyn Collins led the team offensively. Petrides smacked 19 kills while Collins handed out 37 assists.
Defensively, senior Jamie Frank led the team with 19 digs followed by senior Brianna Teets with five blocks.
Frostburg returns to action tomorrow when it faces Pitt-Greensburg at 11:00 am.
