FROSTBURG, Md. – Sixteen different players scored for Frostburg State as it posted a lopsided 24-3 win over Cazenovia, Sunday afternoon.

The Bobcats scored the game’s first five goals on their way to a 4-1 overall record. FSU also posted a 13-0 scoring spurt that covered parts of the second and fourth quarters and the entire third stanza as the hosts led 20-2.
Frostburg closed out the game with the final four goals. The victory marks the highest scoring game since FSU restarted varsity men’s lacrosse prior to the 2011 season.
The Bobcats dominated in all facets of the game, including shots (56-15), ground balls (60-32) and faceoffs won (20-of-30). The hosts were nearly perfect in clear attempts (18-of-20) and scored on all five extra man opportunities.
Freshman Spenser Love led the Bobcats in scoring with six points on three goals and three assists. He scored the game’s first two goals. Sophomore Chris Rios collected three goals and two assists, while junior Ryan Serio (1 goal, 2 assists), junior Britton Hoover (2 goals, 1 assist), junior Devon Stailey (2 goals, 1 assist) and freshman Michael Kibler (2 goals, 1 assist) all registered three points.
Junior Billy Lark posted a .714 (15-of-21) faceoff percentage and tied for a team-high six ground balls. Junior Tyler Haines needed just one quarter of action to earn the win in goal. He posted four saves.
Joe Delia led the Wildcats (1-1) in scoring with two points on a goal and an assist. He scored the first goal for Cazenovia with 2:57 left in the first quarter that ended FSU’s early 5-0 run. Pat Boyle stopped 13 shots in just over 39 minutes of action.
FSU hosts Elizabethtown on Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
