SALISBURY, Md. – Frostburg State surrendered a late second-half goal and eventually lost 1-0 to top-seeded and ninth-ranked Salisbury in the CAC Tournament semifinals, Wednesday afternoon.

The Bobcats (12-6) and Sea Gulls (17-2) played to a scoreless tie for much of the contest until SU's Stephen Poorman connected on the game-winner in the 81st minute of action.
Following a foul on Frostburg, Tanner East hit a free kick through the 18-yard box to the back post where Poorman put a shot past Bobcat keeper Hassan Mostafa for the game's only tally.
Despite allowing the goal at 80:28, Mostafa kept the sixth-seeded Bobcats in the contest with diving save after diving save. He stopped eight shots in total, behind four in each half.
Salisbury finished the contest with a 17-8 advantage in shots, including a 6-1 edge in corner kicks. The Sea Gulls will host second-seeded York in the CAC Tournament Championship this Saturday.
Frostburg now awaits a possible berth in the 2013 ECAC Men's Soccer Championship South Region that starts on November 13. Information on the Bobcats' next game will be available Monday.
