SALISBURY, Md. – The Frostburg State women's cross country team took home an eight-place finish at the Capital Athletic Conference Championships held at Salisbury, Saturday.

Freshman Casey Columbus finished in 31
st place overall with a time of 24:24.20. Columbus was the first FSU runner to finish the 6k race. Junior Bryn Allston finished just shy of one second later at 24:25.10 to earn a 32
nd overall finish, improving upon her 61
st place finish a season ago.
The third Bobcat to finish was freshman Lexi Foreman, who finished 69
th overall with a time of 27:19.10. The final two FSU runners to place were freshmen Margaret McConnell and Valarie Proctor. McConnell finished in 81
st place with a time of 29:53.30, while Proctor crossed the finish line five seconds later at 29:58.30 for a 82
nd place finish.
FSU finished with 212 points, which earned them an eight-place finish. Christopher Newport won the CAC Championship after taking first place with 31 points. The top three was rounded out with York (Pa.) in second with 41 points and Mary Washington in third with 74 points.
The Bobcats will return to action on Nov. 16 for the NCAA Mideast Regional at Lehigh University.
