NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Frostburg State University volleyball team suffered a pair of 3-0 setbacks to Christopher Newport and William Peace, Saturday at a tri-match at CNU.
In the first match of the day, FSU (3-22) fell in straight sets to the host Captains (15-11) 25-17, 25-13 and 25-16. William Peace (19-3) later handed the Bobcats their second loss of the day behind scores of 25-17, 25-13 and 25-20.
Sophomore Aimee Petrides led the way offensively with 13 kills, including eight against William Peace.
Senior April Wolfe had a solid outing with eight kills, six service aces and 10 digs, while sophomore Caitlyn Collins handed out 27 assists to go along with six digs.
Frostburg returns to action this Wednesday with a CAC road match against Penn State Harrisburg at 7:00 pm.
