SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Senior Pat Mead, along with freshmen Brandon Redmond and Stanton Higham, were the top three runners for the Frostburg State men's cross country team at the Slippery Rock University Invitational, Saturday.
Results
Mead finished the 8,000-meter course in 28:59.27 to finish in 20
th place overall, and first overall for the Bobcats.
Redmond finished in 23
rd place overall (29:19.38) and second for FSU. Higham finished in 31
st place overall (30:12.17) and third for the Bobcats.
Sophomores Daniil Repchenko and Jeremy Brown finished in fourth and fifth for Frostburg, respectively. Repchenko finished 37
th with a time of 30:53.18, while Brown came in 39
th with a time of 30:59.25.
Freshman Jeffrey Frost came in sixth for FSU and 41
st overall (31:19.00). Junior Jonathan Stewart was the seventh Bobcat to reach the finish line with a time of 31:45.93, as he finished in 44
th place.
The Bobcats finished in fifth place as a team. Frostburg returns to action next Saturday as it will travel to compete in the Gettysburg College Invitational at noon.
