MEADVILLE, Pa. - The Frostburg State volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the opening night of the Gators Invitational, Friday evening, hosted by Allegheny College. The Bobcats lost to Thiel, 3-0, before dropping their match with Case Western, 3-0.

The Bobcats (0-11) opened the invitational against Thiel and fell in straight-sets to the Tomcats (4-4) by set scores of 25-14, 25-16, 25-19.

Frostburg ended day with with a 3-0 loss to Case Western (10-1). The Pioneers took the first two sets 25-9, 25-8. The Bobcats battled in the final set but could not overtake the Pioneers and fell 25-22 to close out the match.

Frostburg returns to the court for the second day of the Gator Invitational when the Bobcats face Penn State Behrend at 12:00 pm and host Allegheny at 2:00 pm tomorrow afternoon.
