FROSTBURG, Md. – The Frostburg State University football team and members of the coaching staff recently volunteered their time at the nearby Allegany County Special Olympics.

FSU traveled to Allegany College in Cumberland, Md. on Saturday, May 5, to help organize, plan and run the one-day event.
The Bobcat players helped with every event including the softball throw, sprinting events, long jump and bocce competitions.
The Special Olympics was the final community service event of the year for the football team. FSU is also devoted to helping Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Allegany County.
The Bobcats, who finished 4-6 overall last season, open their 2012 campaign with a 7:00 pm showdown at Bobcat Stadium on Sept. 1 against Geneva.
