OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson scored the first seven goals in the first period and cruised to a 17-4 victory over the Frostburg State men’s lacrosse team, Wednesday night.

After surrendering an early 7-0 run, Frostburg got on the board with 2:22 left in the first quarter when freshman Devin Colgrove scored his fourth goal of the season. Stevenson answered with two more goals including Andrew Bishop’s tally with just four seconds remaining in the first.
Frostburg cut the lead to 9-2 with the first goal of the second period when freshman Chris Rios found the back of the net. The Mustangs went on a three goal run before sophomore Ricky Kneebone scored the Bobcats’ third goal with just 1:39 left in the half.
Stevenson added five more goals in the third quarter to build a 17-3 lead. Senior Dan Dowd ended the scoring in the fourth on an assist from sophomore Andy Luhmann.
Stevenson (13-3, 7-1) outshot the Bobcats (2-14, 0-8) 44-21 and held a 37-25 advantage in ground balls.
Frostburg will enjoy a long 17 day layoff before traveling to St. Vincent for the season finale on Saturday May 5, at 1:00 p.m.
