FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Mary Washington held the Frostburg State men's lacrosse team scoreless for much of the game before UMW captured a 10-1 win in Capital Athletic Conference play Saturday.

Eight players scored for the Eagles as they found the net twice in the first quarter and three more times in the second for a 5-0 cushion at halftime.
The hosts added three goals in the third and two more in the fourth before Bobcat freshman
Ryan Serio (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) scored off a pass from junior
Dan Dowd (Friendship, Md./Southern) with 28 seconds left in regulation.
The loss drops the Bobcats to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the CAC while the win is the second-straight for Mary Washington (7-5, 3-2). Sean Dacey and John Bohlinger each scored twice and handed out one assist to lead the Eagle scoring attack.
Despite the score, FSU won 10-of-14 faceoffs and led both team with 22 ground balls.
The Bobcats return home for the next two games. FSU hosts No. 3 ranked Stevenson on Wednesday at 4:00 pm and then hosts No. 2 ranked Salisbury on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
