DOVER, Del. - Wesley scored three late goals in a wild fourth quarter that halted a Frostburg State comeback and the Wolverines pulled away for a 13-8 win in Capital Athletic Conference action, Wednesday night.

However, the Wolverines (3-5, 0-1) ended the Bobcat threat with a three-goal run of their own that started at 4:11. Scott Brozey assisted on the first two goals and scored the third as the hosts increased their lead to a comfortable 13-7 with just 1:42 to play.

Dan Dowd (Friendship, Md./Southern) capped the wild fourth with an unassisted goal at 1:14 for the 13-8 final.
Dowd started FSU's three-goal spurt in the fourth quarter and finished with two goals. Serio led the Bobcats in scoring with two goals and one assist while classmate
Phil Hess (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) finished with a goal and an assist.
Wesley appeared in control from the opening whistle. Leading 2-1, the Wolverines broke out four-consecutive goals late in the opening quarter for a 6-1 advantage after the first. The teams each traded a goal in second, but the hosts outscored Frostburg 3-1 in the third for a 10-3 lead heading into the final stanza.
Joe Trezza scored four times for Wesley while Brozey finished with two goals and four assists. Wesley outshot FSU 43-26 and controlled the tempo by winning 16-of-23 faceoffs.
The Bobcats continue CAC action this Saturday when they travel to St. Mary's (Md.) for a game at 1:00 pm.
