YORK, Pa. - Four players scored in double figures and York (Pa.) used a late first-half run for an 81-56 Capital Athletic Conference women's basketball win over visiting Frostburg State, Saturday.

The Bobcats slip to 3-5 overall and 1-3 in the league while the Spartans improve to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
The contest went back and forth over the first five minutes and 17 seconds as the lead changed hands four times. York began slowly take control from there as it captured a six-point lead, 19-13, with 12:17 showing on the clock.
The Bobcats cut the deficit to one on a handful of occasions, but the Spartans used a 15-2 run over the final 6:41 of the opening half for a 14-point halftime edge (37-23).
York applied more pressure at the beginning of the second stanza ad increased its lead to 22 points, 48-26, just shy of four minutes into the half. At 12:39, YCP extended its lead to a game-high 27 points, 55-28, forcing an FSU timeout.
The Bobcats then gathered themselves and a 17-3 run over the next five minutes to narrow the gap to 13 points, 58-45. However, the Spartans pushed their lead back over 20 points less than two minutes later and cruised to the 81-56 win.

Elizabeth Carrington (Clinton, Md./Oxon Hill) totaled a season-high 16 points to led FSU in scoring. Sophomore
Brynn Arnone (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) pulled down a team-high nine rebounds.
The Bobcats shot 36.4 percent from the field (20-of-55) and collected a 36-18 edge in points off the bench but couldn't overcome a York squad that shot 50.9 percent from the floor (28-of-55) and scored 25 points off 24 FSU turnovers.
York was led by Jamie Sapp with 24 points while Kristen Haley posted a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds. She also added four assists.
FSU returns to court next Saturday when it faces Pitt-Greensburg at 1:00 pm.
