FROSTBURG, Md. - Marymount needed just four different scorers as the Saints handed Frostburg State women's basketball its first loss in the Capital Athletic Conference, 49-40, Wednesday night.

The Bobcats are now 2-3, 0-1 on the season while the Saints picked up their first win improving to 1-3, 1-0.
The Saints shot 44.9% from the floor, led by Maame Amponsah with 20 points and a game-leading 22 rebounds. Amponsah started the scoring off just 20 seconds in the first half hitting a jumper to take an early 2-0 lead, which FSU could not catch. MU lead by as many as 11 points to end the first half, outscoring FSU 23-12
Frostburg State came back after the half to rally and cut the Marymount lead to four with just over four minutes to play, but the Bobcats could not catch the Saints.
The Saints outshot the Bobcats 44.9% to 26.2% from the floor and out-rebounded FSU 50-28. MU's Jackie Bohenek led all scoring with 22 points, while sophomore
Jackie Kimmel (Berlin, Pa./Berlin Brothersvalley) led the Bobcats' offense with 14 points. Senior
Mindy Sharp (Marlinton, W.Va. / Pocahontas County (Garret)) pulled down an FSU-high nine rebounds.
The Bobcats look to rebound as they continue CAC play on Frisday when they host Mary Washington at 6:00 pm.
