Box Score

Anderson handed out four assists and Koffa grabbed a game-high 10 boards as the Bobcats improve to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the Capital Athletic Conference.

FSU also received a boost from its bench, outscoring the Saints, 31-6. Senior Terrance Taylor (Oxon Hill, Md./Cornerstone Christian) came off the bench to add nine points and three steals.

The Bobcats led for much of the contest as the lead changed hands just twice all game. The Bobcats captured an 11-point cushion at 10:05 and Taylor hit a layup with just over a minute remaining in the half as the hosts led by 18 (42-24).

Marymount (1-5, 0-2) chiseled away at the deficit from the start of the second half and narrowed the score to six, 48-42, with 12:05 left in regulation. The Bobcats pushed their lead back to 16 points, 64-48, at 7:49, but Marymount made one final push. The Saints collected a 17-6 run that covered five minutes as they trailed by just five, 70-65), with 2:25 left.

However, the Frostburg State defense held MU to just one basket inside the final two minutes and the Bobcats made four free throws down the stretch for the win.

Marymount, which shot 50.0 percent from the field (24-of-48), was led by Stephen Simoneau and Reed Scott with 16 points each. Scott also led the team with eight rebounds.

The Bobcats host Mary Washington on Friday, Dec. 3 at 8:00 pm for their second CAC matchup of the week.
