FROSTBURG, Md. - Juniata shot 49.2 percent from the floor and held off a late second-half charge from Frostburg State for a 74-68 win, on Monday. The Bobcats slip to 2-2 on the season while the Eagles are 5-1.

The Eagles led by as many as 11 points in the second half, but FSU trimmed the deficit to two, 70-68, with just 43 seconds left. However, Juniata hit a jumper and a pair of free throws to extend the score to 74-68 at the final horn. FSU led early in the second half but Juniata rebounded for its first of two 11-point leads at 10:39.
JC shot 60.7 percent from the field (17-of-28) in the second half, including a perfect effort from Natalie Glinsky. She capped the second stanza 7-of-7 from the field, 2-of-2 from three-point range and 3-of-3 from the foul line.
Glinsky finished with a team-high 21 points on 8-of-13 shooting (61.5%). Kate McDonald shot 81.8 percent (9-of-11) from the field and finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Mindy Sharp (Marlinton, W.Va. / Pocahontas County (Garret)) scored a game-high 22 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out six assists for FSU. Senior
Lisa Byer (Johnstown, Pa./Conemaugh) added 20 points behind four 3-PT's.
FSU controlled much of the first half and grabbed an early five-point lead (7-2) less than four minutes into action. The Eagles regrouped and slowly built a seven-point lead over the next 11 minutes (23-16). However, FSU made one final push over the remainder of the opening period and led by five late in the half before settling for a four-point cushion (33-29) at the half.
The Bobcats open Capital Athletic Conference play on Wednesday when they host Marymount at 6:00 pm.
